Setting up in Taiwan
As the first in-country hire for a European recruitment firm's new Taipei office, I selected the premises, recruited local staff and coordinated with the local CPA, then built relationships with developers, marine contractors and engineering consultancies.
Representing a European supplier
For two and a half years I provided local representation and managed project delivery in Taiwan for Future Services, a European rope access and offshore O&M provider. Work included a multi-month O&M campaign on jacket foundations, crane component inspections on an installation vessel, and access-at-height support for offshore lifting.
Engineering roots
Before Taiwan, I spent more than 30 years with SKF in the Netherlands, including ten years in wind energy business development, taking new products from business case to market launch.
